Jralla’s “BD2015” is Psychedelic Subtlety

LK-17

BD2015

April 19th, 1943…the day a young Swiss chemist, by the name of Albert Hofmann, embarked on a bicycle journey while under the influence of what is generally considered the world’s first intentional LSD trip.

72 years later, this auspicious date is simply remembered and celebrated as Bicycle Day.

As for the BD festivities in our own circle, our resident printmaker, Jralla the Awkward, usually cooks up a small selection of original artwork to mark the occasion.  His 2015 selection is comprised of 35 handmade prints, screened in silver, gold, and copper.

We reckon the choice of these shimmering metallic colors adds a little subtlety to the vibes, which is a nice change from the louder colors that are often seen in psychedelic art.

You can pick up one of these lovelies here.

Also, a portion of the proceeds raised from the sales of these prints will be donated to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), and we encourage you to check out some of the fascinating work they’re doing in the study of human consciousness.
